This word describes the boy or girl who is attracted to men as well as women, although not necessarily at the same time. Realizing that you are bisexual can be a process that manifests itself over time or can happen suddenly, both in adolescence and in later years of life.
Being bisexual can mean several things, including:
– having sexual activity with members of the same sex while fantasizing about the other sex;
– having a good sexual relationship with someone of the opposite sex for many years and, suddenly, falling in love with someone of the same sex, or vice versa, or
– getting involved sexually with members of both sexes for some years.
Many people who experience bisexuality end up establishing themselves in a homosexual or heterosexual relationship.
Unfortunately, there are many people in the world who believe that activities between same sex are immoral. Although many other people believe that this is not true, the negative attitude of those around you can hurt. If you feel confused about your sexual orientation, but you think you can be bisexual or gay (homosexual), talk about your feelings with someone you trust.
If you do not find anyone among your family and friends, try to contact a juvenile gay community. Talking about your feelings does not mean you have to do anything physically, but it can help you feel less isolated.
Is it correct if I am bisexual?
It is totally correct. The most healthy and intelligent thing is to be the person you really are. Experiencing sexuality with boys or girls does not mean that you are bisexual. Nor have fantasies or curiosity about members of both sexes. The way a person behaves and feels about their sexuality as time passes can be a stronger indication of bisexuality.
